Case Study of Romans 1:9 Romans 1:9 starts Μάρτυς γάρ μού ἐστιν ὁ Θεὸς. I believe the verb was authentic in this verse. I looked at 116 manuscripts, and of these, every single one contained the verb ἐστιν. Additionally, in Romans 1:9 the verb always came before ὁ θεός in every single manuscript looked at.
