It is very clear that Euthymius was both quoting Chrystostom, but was also summerizing what he wrote. JOANNES CHRYSOSTOMUS Scr. Eccl. In epistulam i ad Timotheum (homiliae 1-18) {2062.164} Volume 62 page 544 line "For the woman taught the man once, and made him guilty of disobedience, and wrought our ruin." 3. JOANNES CHRYSOSTOMUS Scr. Eccl.
Section V. Concerning teachers that it is necessary for men [to teach] and women should not be [teachers].

Because of nature and the deception incident which resulted in the birth of Christ and their faith and life.

Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness.

So that she is not causing a disturbance.

The female gender is fond of talking amongst themselves.

Paul tells [us] in the first epistles to the Corinthians:

(1 Corinthians 14:34a; exact quote from the TR)
Your Women (or wives) should be in a silent atmosphere in the churches. It is not permitted to speak to them, but should be in submissive.

Εἰ δέ τι μαθεῖν θέλουσιν, ἐν οἴκῳ τοὺς ἰδίους ἄνδρας ἐπερωτάτωσαν· (1 Corinthians 14:35a; exact quote from the TR)
If they want to learn something, they should ask their own husbands at home.

(modification of 1 Corinthians 14:35b)
It’s shameful to speak to a woman in the congregation

In regard to submission to men (or husbands) (modified from 1 Timothy 2:11)

[Think about this.] If [women are to be in submission] to men (or husbands), how much more [should they be in submission] to teachers.

Which their husbands placed under subjection. They should not talk back (or be having conversations).

[In regard to a woman teaching]
Διδάσκειν δὲ γυναικὶ οὐκ ἐπιτρέπω, (1 Timothy 2:12a; which matches Sinaiaticus and Alexandrius, but word different in TR)
I do not permit a woman teaching.

For Eve taught the man once concerning the forbidden food, and ruined everything

And became a lawbreaker of the command.

For this reason he subjected her to man and God removed the rest from teaching

Neither [should they] usurp the authority of a man (or husband)

And be exalted in leadership.

When this bad desire to rule equally

On the one hand this right was taken away

On the other hand, She was placed into subjection to the man (husband) from the sentence of God which was pass down to everyone of the female gender

(1 Timothy 2:12c)
But to be in silence

To have silence through not talking back (or replying) or interrupting

and then she is placed in a position of reckoning for the charge.

She is bound because of this

On the one hand, to learn among a silent atmosphere in the Church

But on the other hand, in [their] home not talking back to [their] husband

To serve God and to attempt to not turn back to ungodliness

(1 Timothy 2:13)
[In regard to] "For Adam was formed first then Eve."

Elsewhere he shows great [evidence for this argument], He says,

Nor was the man deceived due to the woman but the woman due to the man.

On the one hand, then, first has the second quality of man (a husband). Then, on the other hand, and from this deceit. For it was brought on.

"Adam was not deceived. But the woman was deceived and became a transgressor."

For the Serpent did not deceive Adam, but Eve [as someone who was] weak and easily led astray.

For this reason, on the one hand the woman said,

(Genesis 3:13)
"The Serpent deceived me."

On the other hand, Adam did not say that “The woman deceived me," but that, “she gave it to me and I ate." (Genesis 3:12)

So that, on the one hand, the woman was deceived at the side of the serpent. She transgressed the commandment when she took and ate. The. She gave it to the man.

On the other hand Adam was not deceived but the woman persuaded [him].
